Had the pleasure of giving an invited talk at Aramco’s EXPEC Advanced Research Center on the “Autonomous Control of Renewable-Powered Desalination Systems.”
I discussed how co-optimizing water production and electricity decisions can unlock efficiency gains in renewable-integrated desalination systems, especially given the energy-intensive nature of water treatment and its growing importance for water security in regions such as the Arabian Gulf.
